Fresh basil leaves
- Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and cut the mozzarella into bite-sized pieces.
- Using a toothpick, skewer the tomato half, folded basil leaf, and mozzarella piece.
- If you’d like, drizzle a little balsamic vinegar on top.
As you can see, this is a pretty simple (but very yummy!) appetizer! I was making homemade tomato basil pizza the other day and realized I had all the ingredients to make these caprese bites as well, so I put a couple together to munch on while the pizza was baking.
